Comments & suggestions
EveryoneYou can share memories and corrections in two ways. Comments are conversational — they show up on the page for everyone to read. Suggestions go to an admin for review and, if accepted, change the caption itself.
When to use which
- Comment when you want to share a story, a memory, or a question about what’s on the page. Comments stay visible as a thread.
- Suggestion when the caption is wrong and should be fixed — a name is incorrect, a date is off, or there’s a detail that should be added.
Posting a comment
A comment form sits under each page’s caption (in Expert view it’s always visible; in Simple View it’s inside the page-text panel, when available). Type your memory or thought, press Post Comment, and it appears instantly.

Who sees your comments
Anyone with access to this family’s book can read comments. Your display name appears on each one. Nobody outside the family sees them. Recent comments can also appear in What’s New so relatives can spot fresh activity quickly.
Editing or deleting a comment
Admins can delete comments if something is off-topic or posted by mistake. There’s no formal edit button, so the usual fix is to ask an admin to remove the old comment and then post a corrected one.
Suggesting a correction
Look for a Suggest button near the caption. It opens a small form where you can describe what should change. An admin will read it and either apply the fix or leave a reply.

Quote the part of the caption that’s wrong, then say what it should be. “Bob was born in November, not December” is easier to apply than “the date is wrong.”
What happens next
Pending suggestions show up in an admin’s inbox. They can accept and apply your suggestion, or decline it with a reason. You won’t get an email, but the caption itself will change when it’s accepted.
Book-level comments
The very first page of each book (the cover) also has a comment thread — use it for memories that aren’t tied to a specific page.
